About Dr. Miller

Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Quintessa Miller, M.D., F.A.C.S., began her career at the prestigious United States Air Force Academy and completed a Bachelors of Science Degree with a major in Mathematics. She received her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. After completing medical school, Dr. Miller began her General Surgery training at Keesler Medical Center at Keesler Air Force Base, MS. During this time she had two productive research years in addition to excellent surgical training. Due to damage Keesler Medical Center sustained as a consequence of Hurricane Katrina, she relocated to Ohio to complete her Chief Residency year. She graduated from Wright State University in 2006. She then completed a two-year Plastic Surgery residency at Louisiana State University School of Medicine where she was trained by Dr. Charles Dupin, a pioneer in the development of procedures for breast reconstruction (DIEP flap).

Dr. Miller is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. She is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons,San Antonio International Society of Plastic Surgeons,Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, Association of Women Surgeons, Society of Air Force Clinical Surgeons, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, and American Society of Bariatric Plastic. Dr. Miller has published 10 articles in medical journals and has written two book chapters. Her work continues to be featured in professional publications. Dr. Miller is a frequent lecturer on the subject of plastic surgery; she attends national meetings to continue developing innovative plastic surgery techniques. She has presented on topics including the treatment of complex wounds, perforator flaps in breast reconstruction, and regenerative medicine.
